Avant STAMP 4Se User Guides

STAMP 4Se is a web-based test that checks to see how well you are learning a second language. This adaptive assessment allows you to demonstrate how well you can read, write, listen, and speak the second language you are learning.

Get Ready for STAMP 4Se

  • Take a Sample Test. Your teacher will show you how.
  • Practice speaking and writing to your friends using the language that you are learning.

The Rules

  • No paper, pens, pencils, or cell phones are allowed during testing.
  • No other computer applications can be used during testing.
  • No help from friends is allowed.

Taking the Assessment

  • Your teacher or test administrator will help you get logged in.
  • After logging in, there is a screen that lets you check to make sure you can listen to and record messages.
  • You will then see a screen with a picture of four animals – one for each section of the test. Your teacher will tell you which animal to click on to choose a section.
  • The test will also give you instructions that you listen to on the headphones. Listen carefully!
  • After the last question in each section of the test, a message tells you that you are done with the section. Click the button to select another section, then click the animal the teacher tells you to.
  • At the end of the test, you will see a message confirming that you have completed all sections of the test.
